The romantic comedy will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on February 13 in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

Prime Video has released the trailer for the upcoming Australian Original movie Five Blind Dates, co-created and co-written by actor and influencer Shuang Hu (The Family Law), and actor and comedian Nathan Ramos-Park (As We Babble On). 

The romantic comedy is the first feature film produced locally by Prime Video in Australia and will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on February 13 in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The film centres on Twenty-something Lia (Hu) as she is faced with her failing traditional Chinese tea shop inherited from her grandmother and the prospect of attending her younger sister’s impending wedding single and alone.

Lia is reluctantly gifted with a prophecy – the fate of her shop and her love life are intertwined, and the secret lies in one of her next five dates. Under pressure from her family, she agrees to be set up with five different suitors. With her best friend Mason (Ilai Swindells) by her side, will Lia find herself (and love) or risk disappointing those she loves the most and losing the business she has put her whole life into.

Five Blind Dates is produced by Amazon Studios and Goalpost Pictures Australia, with Goalpost’s Kylie du Fresne as producer and Ben Grant and Rosemary Blight as executive producers. Hu and Ramos-Park also serve as producers. Shawn Seet serves as director.
