Day three of the second test match between Australia and South Africa, on Seven, was the top-ranked non-news program with 982,000 viewers.

The Chase Australia followed with 703,000. Nine’s A Current Affair had 841,000 viewers, followed by Country Home Rescue with Shaynna Blaze which claimed an audience of 520,000.

Meanwhile on ABC, a repeat episode of Hard Quiz: Battle of the Has-Beens had an audience of 464,000.

Seven’s winning streak continues for a third day as it claims a network shares of 32.6%. Seven topped channel shares with 22.3%, as 7TWO led the multi-channels with a 4.7% share.

Wednesday’s top non-news program was A Current Affair, presented by fill-in host Leila McKinnon, with 521,000 viewers.

Reporter Dan Nolan spoke to Neil Da Silva whose wife Winnie and stepson Leon survived the Gold Coast helicopter crash that claimed the lives of four others earlier this week.

Seven’s coverage of the third test between Australia and South Africa had 390,000 viewers, while the network’s coverage of the Big Bash match between the Sydney Sixers and the Brisbane Heat had 340,000 tune in.

Nine’s Millionaire Hot Seat with Eddie McGuire had 324,000 viewers.

Over on the ABC, an audience of 301,000 watched a repeat episode of Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery as she drove around Melbourne with Gillian Triggs, an academic, lawyer and social justice advocate. That was followed by a repeat of Spicks and Specks featuring Alice Skye, Josh Teskey, Rhys Nicholson, Zoe Coombs Marr and Brian Mannix.

Meanwhile, 10 continued its showing of Indiana Jones films this week with 206,000 viewers tuning in to watch The Last Crusade.
