Kyle Sandilands says he “fell apart” after learning his former co-host Jackie “O” Henderson had claimed she suffered post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of “ongoing bullying” by him.

Speaking about the allegations on Kyle Sandilands Live, an emotional Sandilands said Henderson’s account of their working relationship left him deeply upset, as detailed in Federal Court documents released on Tuesday.

“Jackie's claimed that I've caused her to suffer PTSD, and I just fell apart this morning … crying in the shower like a fucking big sook, but that is so against what the reality of what happened was. It's soul-destroying; it really is. It's very upsetting to me," he said.

‘It has rattled my trust in humans’

Sandilands’ newsreader Brooklyn Ross, who began tearing up, said Henderson had previously told him she did not want Sandilands to lose his job at KIIS FM.

“Jackie said to me that she didn't want ever for you to be fired by KIIS, for the show to be taken away from you; whatever she felt for you wasn't enough to take your livelihood away like that.”

Sandilands said his commitment to Henderson during their years working together had extended well beyond their on-air partnership.

“I would have died so she didn't graze her knee. That's the commitment I had to her. Obviously that wasn't mirrored back, but I never asked for it to be mirrored back. She was part of the orchestration of that whole show. Don't get twisted that she just went along on my ride. This was our show together. It has rattled my trust in humans for the rest of my life.”

Ross said the relationship between the pair and their team had never been confined to the workplace.

“It's more than working life. It's our lives. Kyle and Jack were both so generous to all their staff”

‘That's the worst part for me’

Sandilands said he did not want to attack Henderson, but struggled to reconcile her allegations with his understanding of their relationship.

“I'm not saying anything bad about her, except for I can't believe she's been either tricked into saying all this shit or she's been forced or, or God forbid, she really believes it. That's the worst part for me. If she really believes what she said to be true, that's what is soul-destroying to me.”

The comments come after Federal Court documents filed as part of Henderson’s case against KIIS FM owner ARN revealed references to a medical report stating she is suffering from PTSD.

Henderson and Sandilands each launched separate Federal Court proceedings against ARN following the collapse of the Kyle & Jackie O Show.

Sandilands' settled his case earlier this year.
