New SENZ programming

• Trailblazers will be a new weekly program hosted by SENZ drive talent Kirstie Stanway and Rikki Swannell, focusing on New Zealand female athletes and administrators who have helped shape women’s sports.

Kirstie and Rikki will alternate hosting duties each week. The weekly program will take listeners behind the scenes of the NZ sporting industry and interview female athletes from all codes. Trailblazers will air Tuesdays 7-8 pm.

Both Kirstie and Rikki said they were excited about the opportunity to speak to female athletes and have candid chats about the high and lows of being a professional athlete.

Swannell said, “We’re chatting to Kiwi Sportswomen doing amazing things on the world stage. Our first guest on Trailblazers is White Ferns captain Sophie Devine, who talks about her break to look after her mental health.”

• SENZ has also revealed that NZ golfing great and identity Phil Tataurangi has joined the broader family.

Tataurangi, a PGA Tour and Eisenhower cup winner, will host Tee It Up with Phil Tataurangi live on Saturdays at 7am.

He’ll also be heard on Mornings with Ian Smith and host a weekly podcast.

• Rounding out the new program additions on SENZ is Extra Time with media personality Riccardo Ball, to be heard from 7pm each night.

Extra Time is promising a laid-back vibe and cover all sporting codes. Riccardo described the show as being for every sports fan and is excited to interact with his listeners. “If you’re at work, on the road or home with the kids, tune in and get your sports fix and why not pick up the phone and join in the conversation.”
