SCA Reveals the ‘Heart’ on DAB+ and LiSTNR

The move is aimed at pumping new life into digital and diverse audiences.

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has revealed the Heart Network, a national music brand launching at the heart of the radio platform, DAB+ and LiSTNR.

The Heart Network will consist of two subsidiary stations: Heart and Heart Hits, guided by SCA’s vision to extend its dominant radio legacy as the number one network for DAB+ while leaving room for further expansion across platforms and genres.

The Heart brand aims to create a personalised experience that helps listeners relax and escape through mood-based programming.

Both Heart and Heart Hits are adult contemporary formats, each with a distinct musical direction designed to reflect the growing diversity in song choices among a broad 25–54 audience.

Opportunity for Growth

Matthew O’Reilly, SCA Head of Broadcast Content, commented on the company’s latest venture “Heart strengthens SCA’s already diverse music portfolio and marks our entry into the world’s most popular format, adult contemporary”

“While expanding our reach as the number one network on DAB+, Heart continues to lead the evolution of digital audio in Australia.”
