Rolling Stone Australia/New Zealand has launched Rolling Stone Uncut, a new long-form interview podcast that leans into unfiltered conversations with major music and entertainment names across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
The series is hosted by Editor-in-Chief Neil Griffiths and marks a significant content expansion for the title after a year of transition.
The podcast opens the door to the kinds of raw, extended interviews that typically get sliced down for print and social.
Griffiths said the launch responds directly to audience behaviour: “Rolling Stone Uncut is an extension and evolution of the incredible work the Rolling Stone AU/NZ team has been producing this year,” he said.
He added that interviews shared across print, online and social have drawn “hundreds of thousands to millions of views”, sending a clear message: “They want to see and hear it in full. And that’s what this podcast is all about.”

Vinyl Media backs long-form ambition
Vinyl Media and Group CEO Josh Simons said the format plays into a growing appetite for depth over noise.
“Audiences today want the full conversation: the texture, the silences, and the sparks that do not always make the final edit,” Simons said.
“Uncut builds on [Rolling Stone’s] legacy with a long-form, honest format created for fans… our growth is driven by content with substance, not noise.”
5 Seconds of Summer lead the debut episode
The first episode, live today, features Australian global hitmakers 5 Seconds of Summer. Griffiths sits down with Ashton Irwin, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood and Michael Clifford to unpack their new album Everyone’s a Star!, out now.
Full episodes are available on YouTube and all major podcast platforms.
