The Local Organising Committee for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 has appointed Australian partnerships agency Rifle as the exclusive Sponsorship Sales Agency for the tournament.
The 17th edition of the Netball World Cup will see 16 nations compete across 64 matches over 12 days from 25 August to 5 September 2027 in Sydney.
Driving commercial partnerships for the tournament
Under the appointment, Rifle will work alongside the organising committee to lead the event’s commercial sponsorship strategy.
This includes identifying and securing up to four Premier Partners, four Official Partners and eight Tournament Supporters. The agency will also support brand alignment and fan engagement initiatives to enhance the tournament experience.
John Nicholl, General Manager – Revenue and Experience for the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 Local Organising Committee, said Rifle’s expertise would help deliver strong commercial partnerships.
“We’re delighted to be working with Rifle in their capacity as the official Sponsorship Sales Agency for next year’s Netball World Cup to be staged in Sydney,” Nicholl said.
“Their experience and expertise will assist the Local Organising Committee to connect with the right partners in ways that are authentic, innovative and impactful as we look to deliver the best ever Netball World Cup that will engage communities across the nation, attract record-breaking crowds, set a new benchmark for global viewership, and create a legacy for the sport both in Australia and around the world.”
Nicholl added that the tournament aims to create a lasting legacy for netball in Australia and globally.
“The Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 will be unmissable, and we are very much looking forward to working with Rifle and future partners on creating something uniquely special that really will have everyone saying, Brace Yourself.”
Building brand opportunities in global sport
The partnership follows the recent unveiling of Brace Yourself, the tournament’s new brand identity designed to position the Netball World Cup for the next generation of fans, players and partners.
Andrew Christopher, Managing Director at Rifle, said the tournament presents a significant opportunity for brands.
“We are delighted to be working alongside the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027 Local Organising Committee on such an exciting project,” Christopher said.
“The tournament presents an exciting opportunity for brands to leverage the highly popular Netball World Cup platform and build a connection with fans and the broader netball community both nationally and further afield. We cannot wait to get started.”
Rifle has worked with rights holders and brands across sport, music and entertainment, including partnerships with organisations across AFL, NRL and cricket, as well as major stadiums and festival events.
