News Corp Australia reaches 17.71 million people in June

Ipsos iris data shows News Corp Australia reached 78.5 per cent of online Australians and generated 77.4 million video views.

News Corp Australia reached 17.71 million people across its digital sites in June, according to the latest Ipsos iris rankings. That represented 78.5 per cent of online Australians.

The publisher recorded an average of 132 browser page views per person across its sites. It also generated more than 77.4 million video views during the month.

News category reaches 13.77 million

In the News category, News Corp Australia ranked among the top news and information publishers. It reached 13.77 million people and generated 500 million browser page views.

Audiences averaged 36 browser page views and 51 minutes per person across the company’s news sites. News Corp recorded 59 million video views, up 2.64 per cent month-on-month and equal to 58 per cent of category views.

Pippa Leary, managing director and publisher, Free News and Lifestyle, said the company had prioritised long-term engagement. “We’ve refocused our editorial strategy to prioritise building long-term audience engagement over short-term reach, and June’s results show that approach is working.”

“Across our news brands, audiences generated 500 million page views, spent an average of 51 minutes per person and drove 59 million video views for the month, representing 58 per cent of all video views in the category. That depth of engagement is also being reflected at brand level, with news.com.au delivering more than two and a half times the page views of the ABC and the highest time spent per person among the top 10 news sites.”

News.com.au grows entertainment and sport audiences

News.com.au reached 11.08 million people and generated 292 million browser page views. It averaged 26 browser page views and 32 minutes per person.

The site recorded 49 million video views, up 3.67 per cent month-on-month. Its Entertainment section reached 4.22 million people, a 21.7 per cent increase, and delivered 10.7 million video views.

The Entertainment section also generated 38.3 million browser page views and averaged nine page views per person. News.com.au Sport reached 3.25 million people, up 16.19 per cent month-on-month.

The Sport section produced 21.3 million browser page views. Its video views rose 46.14 per cent month-on-month to 9.7 million.

Taste.com.au audience rises

Taste.com.au reached more than 4.31 million people, up 6.16 per cent month-on-month. It generated 61.8 million browser page views and averaged 14 page views per person.

How Ipsos iris measures audiences

Ipsos iris is endorsed by the Interactive Advertising Bureau as Australia’s digital audience measurement currency. It measures digital content use among 22 million Australians aged 14 and over.

The release used Ipsos iris Online Audience Measurement Service data for May and June 2026. It covered smartphone, PC or laptop, and tablet use.
