Nova Entertainment’s latest round of redundancies has extended into its on-air ranks, with multiple sources confirming that Mitch Lewis, anchor of Nova’s Ash, Luttsy & Nikki Osborne breakfast show, has been made redundant.

Mitch Lewis
Lewis has spent 18 years with the network’s breakfast programming, working across roles including sports reporter, producer, digital producer, and, most recently, anchor.
His exit comes as part of broader cuts across the business, which have also impacted senior leadership.
The broadcaster’s Head of Audience Engagement, Nate Ryan, announced on LinkedIn that he had been made redundant, describing the exit as the end of a long chapter with the audio network.
“After 11 years across two chapters at Nova Entertainment, I’m closing this chapter feeling proud of the work, the people and the partnerships I’ve been lucky enough to be part of. With my role having been made redundant, I’m now looking ahead to a new challenge and an exciting next chapter.”
Long tenure across partnerships and audience strategy
During his time at Nova, Ryan worked across audience engagement, partnerships, and branded content, helping connect the network with major brands, platforms, and events.
“Nova has given me the chance to work with brilliant people, amazing partners and some of the biggest platforms, brands and events in the country. I’ve learned a lot, built a lot, and had the opportunity to help bring some genuinely exciting ideas to life.”
“Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to lead and grow teams, help develop people, and create major partnerships, branded content and ideas that connected Nova with some of the biggest brands, events and cultural moments in the country.”

Focus shifts as redundancies emerge
Ryan also reflected on the teams he worked with across the business.
“While I’m proud of the campaigns, partnerships and results, I’m just as proud of the people behind them. I’ve been lucky to work with brilliant teams, supportive leaders, trusted partners and great friends, and one of the parts of the job I’ve loved most has been building teams, backing people and creating an environment where good ideas and great work can thrive.”
He added he is now exploring new opportunities across marketing, partnerships, sponsorships and commercial roles.
“I’m excited for what’s next and would love to connect with anyone looking for a leader across marketing, partnerships, sponsorships, branded content, audience engagement or commercial roles.”
Sources have told Mediaweek that Ryan’s role is not the only one to have been made redundant in recent weeks.
