News24 has launched its new brand across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms, replacing its previous identity with a new name, refreshed on-air presentation and expanded digital offering.

The rebrand officially went live at 6:00am AEST on Monday, with First Edition anchor Peter Stefanovic introducing the network's first broadcast under the News24 name.

New brand

News24 CEO Paul Whittaker said the launch reflected the network's next phase of growth.

"Today, we made history with our first broadcast as News24, a name forged from decades of trusted journalism.

"As Australia’s first live 24-hour news channel, we have helped shape the news landscape for over thirty years. Now, as we expand our reach and take our distinctly Australian perspective to the world, we do so with a name that reflects not only our heritage and the scale of our ambition and vision for the future, but who we were born to be.

“Backed by the same trusted team audiences know and rely on, News24 will bring bold storytelling, sharp analysis and compelling opinion to more people, on more platforms, than ever before.”

Programming and digital updates

As part of the launch, AM Agenda with Laura Jayes has been extended to three hours from 9:00am weekdays, while Early First Edition will launch from 5:00am on weekdays.

The network's political team, including Kieran Gilbert, Andrew Clennell, Ashleigh Gillon, Tom Connell, Stefanovic and Jayes, will continue to front live news and political coverage.

Ross Greenwood will continue leading business coverage, while Andrew Bolt, Peta Credlin, Paul Murray, Chris Kenny, Sharri Markson and the Outsiders team remain part of the opinion line-up.

The launch also includes a new visual identity featuring updated graphics, refreshed program branding and a new network theme.

News24 has also launched a new website, mobile and tablet apps, updated Smart TV products and the News24 Now FAST channel on Samsung and LG devices.

The digital platforms, developed internally by News Corp Australia, include expanded coverage across breaking news, politics, business, world and lifestyle, alongside improved streaming capabilities and dedicated US and UK editions.

The network said it ranked as Australia's fifth most-used digital news source in the Reuters Digital News Report 2026.

News24 Radio remains available via DAB+ in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as through the News24 Australia app, Nova Player and Smooth Player.
