Trump threatens $1.5bn lawsuit over BBC edit
The Australian’s Jacquelin Magnay reports that Donald Trump is demanding an apology and compensation from the BBC after Panorama admitted to “an error of judgement” for editing one of his speeches.
The former US president’s lawyers have given the broadcaster until Friday to retract and apologise, warning they’ll sue for at least $US1 billion (about $1.5bn) if it doesn’t comply.
Fordham slams rumours over Laws announcement
Ben Fordham has hit back at claims he and his brother, talent agent Nick Fordham, tried to keep John Laws’ death under wraps until his 2GB breakfast show.
According to The Daily Telegraph’s Matthew Benns, the broadcaster dismissed the suggestion as “horse s**t,” saying there was no attempt to stage-manage the news for ratings.
