The Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AiMCO) is scaling up its 2027 Summit, moving the event to Sydney’s Roundhouse and introducing a VIP breakfast and lounge.

The summit will take place on 25 February 2027, with more than 550 creators, brands, talent representatives and agency professionals expected to attend. AiMCO has also opened submissions for members who want to help shape the event’s content program.

A bigger Summit for 2027

The 2027 program will include keynote presentations, panels, workshops, fireside chats and case studies. The new VIP breakfast and VIP lounge will sit alongside networking drinks as AiMCO expands the event in its second year.

The theme, The Creator Effect, will explore how creators influence what audiences watch, believe and buy. Sessions will also examine their role in shaping culture and delivering measurable commercial results for brands.

AiMCO is asking members to build submissions around reach, relevance and results, with an emphasis on emerging trends and practical takeaways for the industry.

Members invited to shape the program

Submissions are open to AiMCO members including creators, brand representatives, talent agents, media and PR agency professionals and influencer marketing platforms. Written pitches can be submitted from 11 August until 15 September through AiMCO’s online submission platform.

Patrick Whitnall, Managing Director of AiMCO, said the larger venue would give the organisation more opportunities to connect its community.

“Our inaugural summit last year was a resounding success, with positive feedback from attendees, partners and the broader industry. This year’s summit is set to be bigger and better - our move to the Roundhouse means we’re able to create more ways for our community to connect and network, exchange ideas and celebrate the innovation that continues to drive our sector forward.

“I’d like to encourage all of our AiMCO members to put forward content ideas for this year’s summit line-up. Last year, we had a genuine cross-industry room of creators, brands and agencies, sharing their ideas, challenging thinking and exploring what’s next for influencer marketing in Australia.

“We’re looking for that same inspired thinking from this year’s submissions - we want a program that is future-focused, built to spark debate and that pushes the conversation forward, helping to shape the agenda for the industry and providing valuable learning opportunities for attendees.”

Building on the inaugural event

Last year’s first AiMCO Summit featured more than 40 speakers, with representatives from WPP Media, Are Media, YouTube, Amplify, Fabulate and Born Bred Talent.

Brands on the program included MECCA, Tourism Australia, L’Oréal, Nestlé, Canva and Audible. Creators included Ryan Jon, Matty Fahd, Sam Fricker, Harry Garside and The Donut Daddy.

An AiMCO post-event survey found 86 per cent of respondents said they would attend again.

Ryan Jon, Toni & Ryan Podcast co-host and AiMCO Director, said the inaugural event generated tangible business outcomes for his team.

“We came away from the summit with connections that turned directly into revenue and learnings that have genuinely improved our daily operations. As a business owner that's a great result. As a board member, I was really proud of what AiMCO put together and how much everyone got out of the summit. Our whole team will be there next year.”

Non-AiMCO members can also participate in the 2027 event through sponsorship or partnership opportunities.
