Karl Stefanovic

• He will join Gotcha4Life founder Gus Worland in visiting communities in rural and regional Australia

Today host Karl Stefanovic will travel through regional Australia from next Monday, April 18 to raise awareness and funds for mental fitness organisation, Gotcha4Life.

His journey aims to shine a light on the importance of mental fitness, meaningful mateship and social and emotional connections.

He will join Gotcha4Life founder Gus Worland as they launch the Mateship Miles roadshow in a week-long journey through rural communities from Victoria into NSW, visiting communities in Shepparton, Wagga Wagga, Canberra, Nowra and Wollongong.

Stefanovic will broadcast from the road as he meets communities and spreads the message of the importance of building mental fitness and embracing mateship. Since the launch of not-for-profit Gotcha4Life in 2017, the foundation has helped more than 175,000 Australians with mental fitness programs.

Hosting Today, he will get amongst the locals, chat about their struggles over the past two years and, as an aside, with the federal election less than six weeks away, feel the pulse of regional Australia.

Stefanovic said: “The Mateship Miles is a great cause and a wonderful opportunity to get out onto the road and visit regional Australia.

“This period of natural disasters and Covid hasn’t been easy for a lot of people, and anything we can do to get the message out about mental fitness and looking after your mates is so important.

“I can’t wait to meet everyone….and I’m also keen to hear what they have to say about the election and see how our pollies are faring in the pub test,” he added.

Karl Stefanovic will hit the road alongside Worland, and broadcast into Today, with viewers encouraged to pop down for filming 5.30am-9.00am:

Monday, April 18 – Monash Park, Shepparton, VIC
