Chris Bower has been appointed to the newly-created role of CEO ANZ of Dentsu Solutions.

He will be on the executive leadership team alongside Dentsu ANZ CEO Angela Tangas, both leading the Solutions and Intelligence teams.

Bower’s role with Dentsu will be begin at the end of February 2022.

Prior to Dentsu, he had been at Boston Consulting Group since 2014 where he served as a partner, associate director and member of their operations, retail and industrial goods practice areas.

Tangas called Bower a “key hire” for Dentsu, saying: “His consulting background together with his entrepreneurial spirit enables us to enhance the ways we partner with our clients to grow and evolve together.

“Chris will be invaluable in working together with clients, on the inside of their organisation as much as out, having helped brands across multiple industries, underpinned by our CXM, Creative and Media offerings.

She continued: “Every client I speak with is looking for the insight that helps apply a constructively different lens to aid the growth of their business plans. Constantly innovating and evolving the depth and breadth of our strategic expertise is therefore critical. Whether that be brand transformation, CX transformation or employee transformation and the expectations of their customers, employees and increasingly, broader society.

“Chris’ background will further enhance our ability to be ANZ’s most integrated services company and relevant client partner,” she added.

Bower commented: “I think we are at a pivotal moment in the industry, where tremendous value can be unlocked by providing more integrated end-to-end solutions for clients and their customers. I am thrilled to be joining and look forward to collaborating with my Dentsu peers to build a market-leading offering.”

Bower’s appointment at Dentsu comes after the key appointment of David Halter as chief strategy & growth officer of its ANZ business last month.
