Carly Yanco has been promoted to Chief Marketing Office of ING Australia.
The financial institution confirmed the promotion which came into effect this month.
Yanco first joined the bank’s marketing team as head of brand in 2019.
In 2023 she stepped up as acting Head of Marketing, Brand & Stakeholder Relations for one year. Yanco was promoted to Chief of Staff in 2024.
Yanco’s appointment to Chief Marketing Office comes after Danielle Hamilton exited the position earlier this year after three years to the role.
Prior joining ING, Yanco lead strategy at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide in Sydney. She held a number of roles including Planning Director and her last role with the agency was as Head of Strategy.
During her time with the agency, she oversaw a range of brands under Unilever, J&J, Nestle and Kellogg’s.
Yanco’s career started at the Sydney brand of global public relations and communications firm, Burson-Marsteller as client executive and rose through the ranks.
She was appointed Manager, Technology Practice & Head of Digital in 2011and oversaw the Tourism Australia, Hewlett-Packard, Songl, Robert Half accounts.
In 2012, Yanco went stateside to the firm’s New York base where was Manager, Digital Strategy for clients such as AIG, Sony Electronics, MetLife and Intel.
She was appointed Director of Strategic Planning in 2014 and returned home after less than a year into the role.
