Breakfast

Brisbane’s breakfast numbers flicked again in Survey 7, and it’s one of those books where the middle of the market quietly steals the spotlight. Nova 106.9 is still wearing the crown, even with a tiny slip from 13.4 to 13.2, while both Triple M and B105 lost a bit of puff – Triple M easing back from 12.6 to 11.9 and B105 dropping a full point to 11.7.

But the real noise sits elsewhere. KIIS 97.3 – yes, the station that just sacked its breakfast show – actually went up, lifting from 10.0 to 11.2. It’s the kind of irony the radio gods clearly enjoy. 4BH also kept its upward swing, climbing from 9.6 to 10.8, continuing the momentum it built last survey. And 4BC posted one of its stronger moves in a while, up from 3.6 to 4.8.

ABC Brisbane, which recorded a big jump last round, headed the other way this time, falling from 10.1 to 9.1 – a notable down-step after a rare surge.

Overall

On station-wide numbers, the pattern mostly held: Triple M dipped (12.0 to 11.9), B105 softened (11.3 to 10.5), Nova stayed steady on 11.2, and KIIS delivered one of the best overall lifts, surging from 8.3 to 10.0. 4BH nudged up again, ABC Brisbane slipped once more, and 4BC continued its incremental climb.
