The plan is to give businesses a faster, lower-cost way to produce video advertising content.

Amazon Ads has launched its AI-powered Video Generator in Australia, giving businesses a faster, lower-cost way to produce video advertising content.

The tool allows advertisers to create high-motion, multi-scene video ads in minutes by uploading product images, existing footage or a product page, with six variations generated in a single click.

Lowering the barrier to video

Video Generator is designed to remove traditional production constraints, requiring no specialist skills, equipment or additional budget to create ads.

Willie Pang, Managing Director of Amazon Ads Australia and New Zealand, said the launch aims to open up video to more businesses.

“Video advertising has traditionally required significant resources that put it out of reach for many small and medium-
sized businesses. For SMBs in Australia, time and resources are precious —every hour saved is time that can be spent growing the business or serving customers better,” he said.

“Now, businesses of all sizes can create compelling video content that brings their products to life and drives real business outcomes.”

Built for speed and scale

The tool uses AI to generate realistic product scenarios, multi-scene storytelling and automated edits, including transitions, music and text overlays. It can also summarise existing video content into optimised ad formats.

Advertisers can customise branding elements such as logos and headlines, while generating multiple versions to test performance quickly.

Time-saving for SMBs

Amazon Ads said the tool addresses a key pain point for small and medium-sized businesses, with research showing marketers could save more than seven hours a week using AI tools for campaign creation and management.

Early adoption data shows strong uptake, with more than 12% of Australian advertisers launching Sponsored Brands video for the first time during the beta phase using Video Generator.

Globally, the tool has already been used in tens of thousands of campaigns, with usage increasing more than fourfold quarter-on-quarter in 2025.

Australian brand Vignette said the tool has significantly reduced production time while improving engagement and conversions.
