B&D Garage Doors has appointed independent creative agency It’s Friday to develop a new campaign, with the work set to launch in the coming weeks.

The project will centre on what B&D describes as one of its most significant product innovations in recent years. The brand has not yet named the product, while the announcement describes the relationship as a campaign project rather than a broader agency-of-record appointment.

B&D wants a fresh take on the category

Alysha Deane, Marketing Director at B&D Garage Doors, said the company wanted the upcoming B&D campaign to challenge expectations around the category.

“B&D has always been a brand built on innovation, and we wanted to approach this next campaign in a way that would make Australians look at the category differently. It’s Friday brought us an idea that did exactly that. We’re excited about what we’ve created together and can’t wait to share it.”

Pete Bosilkovski, CEO of It’s Friday, said: “It’s a privilege to work with an iconic Australian brand like B&D, particularly when there’s such a strong product story at the heart of the brief. The challenge was to do something nobody would expect from a garage door brand. Not just in the idea, but in every decision around it. We’ve had a lot of fun creating this one with Alysha and the B&D team.”

Campaign lands in B&D’s 80th year

The project arrives as B&D marks 80 years in Australia. The company’s history traces its Roll-A-Door to 1956 and says subsequent innovations have included multi-frequency remotes, smartphone control and its Auto Lock security system.

The forthcoming work will add another chapter to that product-led positioning, although B&D is keeping details of the innovation behind the campaign under wraps for now.

It’s Friday builds its client roster

The appointment follows several account wins for It’s Friday during 2026. In May, Zeekr Australia appointed the agency as its creative agency of record following a competitive pitch, while URBNSURF named It’s Friday its strategic and creative partner in February.

It’s Friday, which is based in Sydney, works across creative, media, customer experience innovation and PR.

B&D and It’s Friday said the new campaign will be revealed in the coming weeks.
