Australia and NZ creatives crack ADC’s global jury
Three creatives from Australia and New Zealand join more than 100 jurors for the global ADC Young Guns 24 competition.

Three creatives from Australia and New Zealand have been selected to judge ADC Young Guns 24, joining more than 100 creative professionals on the competition’s global jury.

The Art Directors Club, part of The One Club for Creativity, named two Australia-based jurors and one from New Zealand. The annual competition recognises emerging creative professionals aged 30 and under from across disciplines.
Who is representing Australia and New Zealand?
Australia’s jurors are Andrew Maynard, director at Melbourne’s Austin Maynard Architects, and Chris Rowson, head of creative at Good Drinks Australia in Perth.
Robert Wallace, director at Parallel Teeth in Lower Hutt, will represent New Zealand. Maynard and Wallace are also former Young Guns winners, from the YG4 and YG11 classes respectively.
The three will help assess portfolios from entrants around the world. Eligible creatives must have worked professionally for at least two years, either full-time or freelance, and can submit both personal and commercial work.

Key ADC Young Guns 24 dates
- Regular entry deadline: 27 August 2026
- Final entry deadline: 24 September 2026
- Winners announced: January 2027
- Awards ceremony: 27 January 2027 in New York
The competition regularly attracts submissions from more than 45 countries. More than half of its entries come from outside the United States.
What the winners receive
Each winner receives a custom edition of the ADC Young Guns Cube and a permanent profile on the competition’s website. They also receive a one-year membership to The One Club for Creativity and ongoing access to the Young Guns network.
Winners may also take part in events and professional opportunities offered through the competition’s sponsors.
ADC Young Guns 24’s branding and Cube trophy were created by Brooklyn-based illustrator and designer Chantal Jahchan, who was selected as a YG23 winner.
