Nine Saturday win means five nights on top and Week 44 victory

Overnight TV ratings: Seven

Seven’s Saturday 6pm news is trailing currently because of the boost Nine is getting in TV ratings from its 5.30pm lead-in.
Seven’s first night ever of Supercars in primetime attracted a crowd of 188,000.
Seven’s Saturday movie was the next Harry Potter instalment The Order of the Phoenix with 220,000 watching. That was an hour later than previous instalments screened and was down on 287,000 watching The Goblet of Fire a week ago.

Nine

The primary channel and the network again won the night and the week.
Nine News was a 6pm winner again thanks in part to the lead-in from Getaway at 5.30pm.
A Current Affair was on 522,000, down on close to 600,000 a week ago.
Nine had the biggest movie audience with Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again with 278,000 after Mamma Mia! did 274,000 a week ago.

The channel’s biggest audience was 159,000 for an encore screening of The Dog House Australia.
A repeat of Ambulance UK then did 139,000.

ABC

The UK drama Grantchester was again a timeslot winner with 460,000 after 7.30pm, down from 492,000 a week ago.
A repeat of Shetland then did 247,000.

SBS

Dam Busters with Dan Snow was the channel’s best with 138,000.
Celebrity Letters and Numbers hit a new low earlier in the night with 124,000.
