• Seven’s Friday Night Footy Finals reached 1,389,000 in Total TV.

Seven’s AFL Friday Night Footy Finals topped total TV, increasing by 1% to reach a total audience of 1,389,000. 

ABC had the program with the highest lift on total TV as Sherwood lifted 49% for 574,000. 

On Nine, The NRL Finals increased by 19% to deliver a total TV audience of 943,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, September 29

Seven inched out the Friday night primary channel shares with 18.4% and also won the network share section with 27.9%. 7TWO won the multichannels with 4.7%.

Seven’s The Chase aired to 472,000, while Better Homes and Gardens saw 280,000 as Adam built a hanging seat perfect for summer nights and Fast Ed made a golden syrup and lemon cake. 

Nine’s A Current Affair saw 543,000 tune in as the program met with the most diehard Brisbane Lion and Collingwood fans ahead of today’s Grand Final at the MCG where more than 100,000 fans will make the pilgrimage to the stadium to watch the big game.

On ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 372,000, as Costa toured a high-rise haven and Clarence visited a school in love with gardening.

On 10, 208,000 tuned into The Project and Have You Been Paying Attention? clocked 187,000 viewers. 

The highest-rated non-news program on SBS was South American with Simon Reeve with 130,000.

Day 1 of the Ryder Cup saw 43,000 tune in while Fox Footy showed the Grand Final Parade ahead of today’s Grand Final showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood at the MCG.
