Total TV Ratings, March 24

The biggest winner in total tv ratings over the last week was Seven’s Home & Away, which rose 32%, for an audience of 820,000. 

On 10, the international football match between the Socceroos and Japan rose 11% for a total of 441,000 viewers as the Aussies went down in disappointing fashion 2-0.

On SBS, Every Family Has A Secret saw its first episode of season three rise 21% for a total audience of 399,000.

Seven has kept the momentum going from their win with the Shane Warne memorial, and won the night with a primary share of 21.6% and a network share of 32.5%.

On Seven, Home & Away aired a double episode instead of its usual Thursday triple in Sydney, with an audience of 382,000 (7pm) and 364,000 (7:30pm). 

The AFL took the primetime slot on the main channel in Melbourne. 438,000 watched the Bulldogs go head-to-head with the Swans, with last year’s Grand Final runners up defeating the Swans 71-60.

On Nine, A Current Affair compared taxis and rideshare apps like Uber to see who was best for an audience of 490,000. Afterwards, 316,000 watched as the Gold Coast Titans and the West Tigers went close to playing the only try-less game of the NRL era. In the 79th minute of the game, the Titans managed to score for a 6-4 victory.

On 10, The Project had 196,000 (6:30pm) and 293,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed the Oscars fallout, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Australian parliament address, and interviewed Jake Gyllenhaal. At 7:30pm, 314,000 tuned in to First Dates as father and son Stephen and Luke went on a double date. Afterwards, the Goggleboxers dissected the week in TV to an audience of 502,000 – making it the top non-news show of the night.

On the ABC, Anthony Albanese’s Budget Reply Speech was watched by 357,000, before Q+A aired a rare episode live from Canberra. 246,000 tuned in as the show asked whether the 2022 federal budget would keep the Coalition in power in its annual budget special.

On SBS the highest watched non-news program was the second episode of Every Family Has A Secret with 222,000.
