TV Ratings March 27, 2022: MAFS has season high as truth hurts

Total TV Ratings, March 20

Married at First Sight (MAFS) was once again the top program in the total TV ratings with 2.064m viewers, up 41%. The episode featured the final commitment ceremony of the year.

60 Minutes also cracked 1m viewers for Nine after increasing by 14%.

Dancing with the Stars: All Stars was the top entertainment program for Seven with 921,000, up 20%. The episode featured the first semi-final which saw Kylie Gillies and Anthony Koutoufides sent packing.

Australian Survivor was the top program on 10 with 838,000 viewers up 38%. The episode saw KJ use a tribal council advantage to force three of the majority alliance to leave tribal, allowing the minority to vote out Jordan.

Nine was #1 last night in both primary share (28.7%) and network share (36.3%) thanks to Married at First Sight (MAFS) which was easily the top program last night with 1.113m viewers, the top rating episode of the season. With no more commitment ceremonies left in the experiment, the couples had another dinner party. The episode had a twist as the night featured the honesty box which caused tensions between the couples most notably Ella and Mitch. MAFS was #1 in all key demos. 

60 Minutes followed with 542,000 as the show featured a report from Tara Brown on Julian Assange‘s wedding.

Earlier in the day, the Sunday afternoon NRL match between the Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys had 267,000 viewers. The 115,000 viewers that the game generated in Brisbane made it the top non-news program in the market.

On Seven, the Sunday afternoon AFL match between the Richmond Tigers and Greater Western Sydney Giants had 330,000 viewers.

In prime time, the second semi-final of Dancing with the Stars: All Stars had 501,000 viewers as Deni Hines, Courtney Act and David Rodan joined Grant Denyer, Kris Smith and Ricki-Lee in the Grand Finale next Sunday. Rob Mills and Olympia Valance were the celebrities to go home last night. The episode was up on last week’s 491,000 viewers.

On 10, the Sunday Project had 185,000 (6:30pm) and 288,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the pre-election promise of cheaper fuel from the Government. 

Australian Survivor then had 440,000 viewers as Dave went home after the votes were split between himself and Jordie following Mark playing his idol. This episode was down on last week’s 464,000 viewers.

On the ABC, Grand Designs New Zealand had 372,000 viewers before the Aussie drama Troppo had 208,000 viewers.

The top non-news program on SBS was Stonehenge: The New Revelations with 162,000 viewers.
