Total TV Ratings, March 8

Married at First Sight (MAFS) was the top program in the total TV ratings with 1.985,000 viewers, an increase of 43%. The episode featured the fallout of the previous episode where Domenica smashed a glass while arguing with Olivia, and ended with Olivia having a panic attack in the bathroom after Domenica’s attempted apology.

Home and Away was the top entertainment program for Seven with 1,026,000 viewers (up 23%), followed by SAS Australia with 771,000, which was an increase of 49% on its overnight ratings.

Dog House Australia was the top program for 10 with 691,000 viewers, up 16%.

Nine has continued its strong start to the year with another weekday win after finishing Tuesday night as the #1 primary channel (26.1%) and network (33.4%). The biggest contributor to this win was Married at First Sight (MAFS) which was the top program of the night with 925,000 viewers. MAFS was also #1 in all key demos as the episode was down on last week’s 1.028m viewers.

The episode was a much calmer entry than recent episodes as homestay week continued. The biggest drama that emerged came from Selina being tricked into wearing a swamp costume to go bird watching. The other notable moment was Tamara not believing that sea lions are real.

The Hundred with Andy Lee then followed with 487,000 viewers. This was up on last week’s 461,000 viewers, continuing the show’s incredible streak of increasing week-on-week each episode since its launch.

On Seven, Home and Away was the top entertainment program for the network with 494,000 viewers tuning in. It was followed at 7:30pm by SAS Australia with 393,000 viewers, which was up on last week’s 345,000. The episode saw Melissa Wu collapse during a tear gas rescue challenge, while Pauly Fenech called it quits.

Police Strike Force then followed with 227,000 viewers.

On 10, The Project had 237,000 (6:30pm) and 363,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered Scott Morrison’s response to Anthony Albanese’s glow up, discussed if Australia will need another Covid booster shot, and spoke to Chris Rock.

Dog House Australia‘s second new episode of the year had 444,000 viewers. This was up on its premier of 424,000 viewers.

On the ABC, Outback Ringer had 214,000 before Freddie Mercury – The Final Act had 314,000 viewers.

The top non-news program on SBS was Insight with 142,000 viewers.
