TV Ratings March 14, 2022: MAFS homestay week sees Nine stay at #1

Married at First Sight (MAFS) continues to dominate the total TV ratings, after once again being the #1 program for the evening. The episode had 1.940m viewers, an increase of 45% and featured the couple’s retreat where Olivia confronted Domenica which resulted in the latter smashing a wine glass.

Home and Away was the top non-news program on Seven with 1.048m viewers, up 25%. Also on Seven, SAS Australia had 717,000 viewers, up 32%, as Richard Buttrose was sent packing by Ant Middleton after the pair had a blow-up during a cliffside tug-of-war task. 

Australian Survivor had 920,000 viewers, up 45%. The episode saw Shay saved from elimination by being placed in purgatory.

Nine has continued to perform well on weekdays after another win, claiming the #1 spot on Tuesday night for both primary channel (24.2%) and network (31.2%). Once again the bedrock of this win was Married at First Sight (MAFS) which was the top non-news program of the night with 977,000 viewers. MAFS was also #1 in all key demos as the episode was down slightly on last Monday’s 978,000.

The episode saw homestay week kick-off for the couples as they began to go back home with their spouse to have a taste of each other’s lives.

La Brea followed with 332,000 viewers.

On Seven, Home and Away was the top non-news for the broadcaster with 512,000 viewers. At 7:30pm, SAS Australia had 362,000 viewers, down on last week’s 383,000. The episode featured Darius Boyd opening up about his tumultuous life. 

On 10, The Project had 259,000 (6:30pm) and 416,000 (7:00pm) as the show discussed the blame game going on at the moment over the flooding crisis. 

Australian Survivor followed with 501,000 and was #2 for the 16-39 demographic. The episode was up on last week’s ratings of 492,000 as it saw Michelle go home as Jordie, KJ and Shay won their way back into the game from purgatory.

On the ABC, Australian Story had 537,000 viewers before Four Corners then had 516,000 viewers. This was the first episode of Four Corners since Sally Neighbour announced her departure as EP.

The top program on SBS was Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness with 178,000 viewers.
