TV Ratings June 7, 2022: Tiramisu leads to delicious ratings for MasterChef

Total TV Ratings, June 1

Home and Away was the top primetime entertainment program in the total TV ratings with 972,000 viewers, an increase of 24% on its overnight ratings. Big Brother had 760,000 viewers (up 56%) as the episode saw the OG alliance begin to fall apart as Tim, Dave, and Tully all came into conflict. 

MasterChef Australia was the top program on 10 with 857,000 viewers, an increase of 19%. The episode saw Matt Landmark go home after the contestants had three and a half hours to recreate Donato Toce’s “Honey” gelato dessert.

On Nine, Celebrity Apprentice had 704,000 viewers, up 29%. The episode saw the celebrities strip down for charity, and Lord Sugar added a new contestant in pop star Amy Shark. Ironically as Shark joined the show, pop star Samantha Jade, was fired at the end of the episode by Sugar.

Seven has won Tuesday night with both a #1 primary share (18.3%) and network share (26.8%). The top primetime entertainment program for the broadcaster was Home and Away with 506,000 viewers tuning in for the soap. The top non-news program came in the afternoon with The Chase, which had 611,000 viewers. At 7:30pm, Big Brother had 369,000 viewers as not three but four housemates were up for nomination. The episode was up on last week’s 306,000 viewers. 

On Nine, Celebrity Apprentice had 402,000 viewers as the celebs had to design and execute guerilla marketing strategies. The episode ended with Beck Zemek being fired for the second time. The episode was down on last week’s 411,000 viewers.
Matt Wright’s Wild Territory then followed with 201,000 viewers.

On 10, MasterChef Australia was the top primetime entertainment program of the night with 542,000 viewers, as well as #1 entertainment show for all key demos. The episode saw Steph Woon sent home after attempting to make Andreas Papadakis’ tiramisu. The Cheap Seats once again won the 8:30pm timeslot with a robust 394,000 viewers.

On the ABC, Space 22 had 222,000 viewers before the series premiere of Ithaka: A Fight to Free Julian Assange then had 184,000 tune in.

The top non-news program on SBS was Great British Railway Journeys with 195,000 viewers.
