Total TV Ratings, May 28

ABC’s Father Brown topped the total TV ratings for non-news programs, bringing in 727,000 viewers, rising 17%.

ABC also claimed the #2 spot with Call The Midwife, reaching a total TV audience of 625,000, and experiencing the highest lift on overnight with 28%.

Getaway on Nine came in third to reach 419,000, increasing by 4%.

Winning the Saturday network shares is Seven with 34%, followed by Nine with 27.3%. Seven also won the primary channel with a 22.8% share, while 7TWO claimed the multichannel win with 5.9%.

376,000 people tuned in to watch the Sydney Swans beat the Melbourne Demons by 12 points, winning 10.13 (73) to 9.7 (61 on Seven’s Saturday Night AFL. Despite the game not airing in Brisbane and Perth, the program was the second most-watched non-news show of the night. 

On Nine, Getaway brought in the most viewers for the network reaching 299,000 people, followed by the film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which clocked 284,000 views. 

On ABC, the 100th episode of Father Brown was the most-watched entertainment program of the night, bringing in an audience of 462,000, with 154,000 tuning in from Melbourne. Additionally, Call The Midwife pushed ABC up the ratings, clocking 327,000 views.

On 10, a repeat of The Dog House Australia was the network’s most-watched entertainment program, pulling in an audience of 180,000.

SBS aired an episode of World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys which clocked 148,000 views.

Fox Footy has claimed the top spot on subscription TV with its coverage of Melbourne v Sydney, bringing in 201,000 viewers. Fox League followed behind, with 191,000 people tuning in to watch The Sea Eagles triumph against the Warriors at 4 Pines Park, winning 44-12.

Fox Footy’s Super Saturday clocked 162,000 views, as their coverage of Gold Coast v North Melbourne pulled in 146,000 people to watch Gold Coast dominate Melbourne 15.19 (109) to 7.5 (47).
