Nine’s Third Test of the Ashes topped total TV, increasing by 17% to reach a total audience of 1,180,000. 

ABC had the program with the highest lift on total TV as Utopia lifted 126% for 350,000. 

On Nine, A Current Affair increased by 7% to deliver a total TV audience of 813,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, July 14

Seven dominated the Friday night shares with a primary channel share of 23.9% and a network share of 34.7%, while 10 Bold won the multichannels with 7.8%.

In the AFL, the Demons went head-to-head with the Lions as the game ended 105-104 in front of 464,000 on Seven’s Friday Night AFL. 245,000 Melbourne residents tuned in to watch the match. Earlier in the night, The Chase aired to 486,000, while Better Homes and Gardens, topped entertainment for Seven with 419,000 as Graham visited the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden in Mount Tomah. 

Nine’s Friday night NRL pulled in an audience of 243,000 as the Knights showed up the Tigers ending 34-18. Nine’s top program of the night was A Current Affair and saw 528,000 tune in as the program met a celebrity chef who has pressed charges on a vegan activist who stormed his Perth restaurant twice. 

On ABC, First Weapons topped entertainment with 240,000, as the program crafted the Amerr and unpacked the science behind how the weapon was once the fastest on earth.

On 10, 299,000 tuned into the Matildas v France preliminary FIFA Women’s World Cup match which saw the Matildas win by 1 point ending in 1-0. 

The highest-rated non-news program on SBS was Stage 13 of the Tour de France with 110,000.

Fox Footy topped the STV chart for Friday with the Demons beating out the Lions. The final score was 105-104. 184,000 tuned in for the match.

The Knights v Tigers match on Fox League came in second on subscription TV, clocking 168,000 views. The match ended 34-18 at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle.
