ABC’s Call The Midwife topped entertainment, rising 21% for a total audience of 641,000, as an unforeseen event in Poplar meant that Nonnatus House suffered its biggest threat yet. Midsomer Murders: 25 years of Mayhem rose 14% for 511,000.

Nine’s Space Invaders came in next, with an increase of 18% to reach 468,000.

10’s NCIS: Los Angeles had the highest lift on overnight with 22% to reach 241,000.

Overnight TV Ratings, February 25

Nine has won the Saturday night network shares with 30.6%. Nine and ABC came equal first in the primary channel shares, both pulling 18.5%, while 9GO topped the multichannels with 5.5%.

On Nine, A Current Affair reached 386,000 as the program shared the video diaries documenting the earthquake disaster zones in Turkey and Syria. Later in the night, Space Invaders pulled in 285,000 as Bachelor stars Laura Byrne and Matty J call the team to help Laura’s mum Kim, as her house is clogged with clutter. Additionally, Getaway clocked 221,000.

Seven’s top entertainment program of the night was Border Patrol which reached 285,000. Later in the night, the network aired the 2021 documentary Million Pound Pawn, which pulled back the curtain on the world of pawnbroking in the midst of the economic crisis related to COVID-19.

On the ABC, the 45th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras topped the night with 386,000. Tens of thousands of people lined the street as hundreds of floats and groups sailed down Oxford Street for the first time in two years. The Mardi Gras coverage came first in the 16-39 demos.

On 10, 169,000 tuned in to 10 News First, while 97,000 tuned into a repeat of Bondi Rescue.

The highest-rated non-news show on SBS was The World’s Most Beautiful Landscapes, with 136,000.
