Nine

Lego Masters has continued to be the strongest performer in the 7:30 slot despite strong competition, bringing in 725,000 viewers last night. This was the top non-news program and was also #1 in the 25-54 demographic. However, this was down on last Tuesday’s 782,000 viewers.

Last night on Lego Masters, Michael and Harrison didn’t compete because they had immunity. The remaining five teams were each given an everyday object that had been cut in half and had to create a scene on the other half. The winners were David and Gus who had the boombox.

Fleur and Sarah decided not to play the platinum brick to guarantee their safety and found themselves in the bottom two but survived as Anthony and Jess went home.

Following Lego Masters was the double-episode premiere of the sci-fi comedy Resident Alien which had an average audience of 263,000 tune in.

Seven

Seven was the top primary channel (20.1%) last night by a razor-thin margin, edging out Nine by 0.1 point. Seven had a more comfortable network win with a share of 28.1%, as 7TWO was the equal best multichannel tied with 10 Bold with 3.3%.

The second episode of Big Brother for 2021 had 622,000 viewers and was #1 in 16-39 and 18-49 demographics. This was down slightly from its premiere which had 664,000 tune in for the arrivals, 662,000 for the normal broadcast, and 650,000 for the eviction.

Eight new housemates were set to shake things up, but before making it to the house, the new arrivals were stuck in transit for 24 hours on BB Air.

In the nomination challenge, Katie lost to Mel who earnt the right to nominate Katie, Sarah Jane and Lillian for eviction.

Katie worked her magic on Daniel, while SJ bared her soul in the eviction room, with a surprised Lil ultimately sent packing.

“I think the nail in my coffin was the fact that I thought I was charismatic and I didn’t have as much support as I thought I did,” said Lil.

Big Brother was followed by The Good Doctor with 328,000, this was up on last week which had 305,000 viewers.

Earlier in the night, Home and Away had 629,000 viewers.

10

MasterChef had 603,000 which was up on last Tuesday’s 582,000. In the episode, Katrina went home after a challenge set by the master of Italian gastronomy, Massimo Bottura, who was joining the show from his home in Modena, Italy.

After cooking Bottura’s style of mac and cheese, Tom, Pete, Dan and Katrina were left to battle it out in the second part of the challenge.
While Katrina’s bread and butter pudding with an orange twist had good reviews for its citrus flavour, the judges decided that the bread wasn’t featured enough.

This was followed by a double of NCIS with 194,000 and 268,000.

The Project had 282,000 (6:30 pm) and 480,000 (7 pm) as the show covered Aussies stuck in India, the battle over border responsibility, and Apple v Facebook.

ABC

ABC’s popular Tuesday night combo continues to deliver as Anh’s Brush with Fame had 555,000 as he was joined by Guy Sebastian. This was followed by Old People’s Home for 4 Yeard Olds which had 621,000.

SBS

The top show on SBS was a repeat of Who Do You Think You Are? with 207,000.
