Big Brother is set to return to Australian screens in 2026, with Network 10 confirming a new season of the long-running reality format following last year’s reboot success.
The upcoming season will again lean into the franchise’s live format, bringing back live nominations, live evictions and live feeds as a new group of contestants enters the house.
The 2025 revival saw audiences re-engage with the format, culminating in Coco being crowned the winner.
The return of real-time elements marked a shift back to the show’s original DNA, with the format once again positioning itself as a social experiment built on unpredictability.
In 2026, a fresh cast of housemates will enter the house, competing for a cash prize while navigating the evolving dynamics and pressures of the game.

In a statement, Big Brother teased an even more disruptive season ahead.
“Another year, another group of housemates who think they can outsmart me. How adorable.
“Australia, I hope you’re ready, because I’ve been watching, I’ve been planning, and let’s just say… this year’s surprises will be my finest work yet. Welcome back to my House.”
Tracina returns as host
Mel Tracina will return to host the series, which is expected to feature a mix of alliances, conflicts and unexpected storylines as contestants compete under constant surveillance.
The show continues to be produced by Endemol Shine Australia, part of Banijay Entertainment, for Network 10.
While a premiere date is yet to be confirmed, the network has signalled more updates will follow as the 2026 season approaches.
