For the first time in its history, Triple M is opening the mic to everyday Australians, launching a national search for the country’s next great radio show.
In December, five new Breakfast shows will go to air nationally as part of Pilot Week – a week-long showcase of emerging talent designed to uncover fresh voices for one of Australia’s most iconic radio brands.
Beginning Monday, 15 December, Pilot Week marks a first for Australian radio. Each show will broadcast nationally from 6–8am, with one potentially joining Triple M’s permanent lineup in 2026.
How Pilot Week will work
Entries will be reviewed and narrowed to a Top 10 before five finalists are selected to host their own national Breakfast pilot during Pilot Week, running Monday 15 December to Friday 19 December.
The initiative builds on Triple M’s track record of discovering new talent, following the success of Lu & Jarch (Luisa Dal Din and Jack Archdale), whose show now attracts over 934,000 listeners nationally and has generated more than 50 million social media views.
‘An opportunity for fresh voices’
Matthew O’Reilly, SCA Head of Broadcast Content, said Pilot Week reflects Triple M’s heritage of personality-led radio: “Triple M has always been about big personalities, creating world-class content, think Andrew Denton, The Cage and The Hot Breakfast just to name a few.”
“The audio industry is booming, and there’s incredible creative energy across the country, from podcasters and comics to online storytellers,” O’Reilly added.
“Triple M’s Pilot Week is the perfect opportunity for anyone who’s ever listened to Mick Molloy, James Brayshaw or Beau Ryan and thought, ‘I reckon I could do that!’”

The five Pilot Week shows will broadcast nationally across the Triple M network and stream on LiSTNR. Applications open Friday, 31 October, and close Friday, 15 November. Interested applicants can submit their demo at triplem.com.au/pilotweek starting on Friday, 31 October.
