ARN has announced broadcaster Toni Tenaglia will join Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire as anchor of The Long Weekend on the GOLD Network.
Tenaglia is a familiar voice to GOLD listeners, building a loyal following through her number one Afternoons show.
ARN said she will bring warmth, experience and audience connection to the new multi-platform format.
Dave Cameron, Director of Content, Metro Radio at ARN, said Tenaglia was the right fit for the new show.
“Toni is a radio expert and an audience favourite, consistently winning the ratings in her shift across the GOLD Network.
“Her warmth and experience make her the perfect addition alongside Karl and Eddie for what will be a hugely exciting new show in 2026.”
Tenaglia on the new role
Tenaglia said the opportunity felt like a career milestone.
“If someone had told me at any stage in my radio career that I’d be anchoring a national show on the GOLD Network with Karl Stefanovic and Eddie McGuire, also streaming on iHeart and available on demand on 9Now and Stan, I would’ve said you’re dreaming.
“Combining music, sport and entertainment in one show, I’m in heaven.
“I’m incredibly excited to be part of something that will make broadcasting history, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Announced earlier this week, The Long Weekend is a new national news, sport and entertainment format. The show brings together Stefanovic and McGuire in a multi-platform format spanning radio, streaming and on-demand.
The Long Weekend launches on June 19 across the GOLD Network, iHeart, 9Now and Stan.
