Network 10 has confirmed it will “rest” I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2027 as the broadcaster reshapes its content slate across platforms.
The decision marks a pause for the long-running reality franchise, which has been a key part of 10’s entertainment lineup and most recently featured hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin.
In a statement to Mediaweek, a Network 10 spokesperson said: “We have made the decision to rest I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2027 as we focus on offering our audience a range of content on all platforms.”
The spokesperson added: “We look forward to working with Julia Morris and Robert Irwin on other projects.”
‘We are disappointed’
The move also appears to leave the door open for the format to continue elsewhere, with ITV Studios Australia CEO & Managing Director David Mott confirming that the company plans to shop the series to other broadcasters and platforms.
“Ten has been a terrific partner for I’m A Celebrity over the last 12 seasons, during which it has consistently been one of their highest-performing entertainment series,” Mott said.
“Naturally, we are disappointed with their decision, but we also respect it.
“Given this powerhouse brand’s appeal with audiences and sponsors alike, we are excited to take it out to market with other broadcasters and platforms so it can continue to entertain audiences for years to come.
Julia Morris reflects on ‘best working experience’
Morris paid tribute to the production team and viewers following the announcement.
“I’m A Celebrity, and our whole jungle family who make this show have made it the best working experience of my lifetime,” Morris said.
“I have loved every moment and will be forever grateful to Beverley and the whole team at Network 10 for not only believing in this show but nurturing it for 12 years.
“And to our jungle family watching from home, we love you.”

Robert Irwin calls role a ‘dream come true’
Irwin said being part of the series had been a career highlight.
“I want to express what an absolute privilege it has been to work on this show for the past three seasons,” Irwin said.
“I grew up watching this show as so many Aussies do, so to be part of the fantastic team that makes this series a reality felt like a dream come true.
“We have had the honour of sharing incredible stories and creating a platform to shine a light on amazing charities that our celebrities have supported along the way.
“And to do it all alongside my co-host, and friend, Julia Morris, made it a truly life-changing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
The local edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! first launched in 2015 and has remained a consistent part of the network’s annual programming slate, helping drive audience engagement across linear broadcast and streaming.
