Session Select gives the SXSW Sydney community the ability to play a significant role in the programming of the conference

Futurist conference and festival, South by Southwest (SXSW) Sydney, has announced an open invitation to the global SXSW Community to participate in Session Select, the platform which will curate the core of the SXSW Sydney Conference programming.

Session Select gives the SXSW Sydney community the ability to play a significant role in the programming of the conference. By collaborating with creative professionals, experts and thinkers from around the world, the platform will help the community identify innovative ideas that they want to see within the event’s 2023 programming.

Submissions for Session Select open at 09:00am AEDT on Thursday, 8 December 2022 and close 11:59pm AEDT Tuesday, 14 February 2023.

Expanding for the first time from North America to a new home in Sydney, Australia, SXSW Sydney will see the Asia-Pacific’s creative industries converge across content pillars of Tech and Innovation, Gaming, Music, Screen and Culture within a future-focused program running from Sunday, October 15 to Sunday, October 22, 2023.

Managing director of SXSW Sydney, Colin Daniels said, “Sydney’s diversity makes it the perfect incubator for creativity and we’re lucky that so many artists, creative thinkers and innovative businesses call it home.

‘Next October, SXSW Sydney will place a global spotlight on our region’s creative community, highlighting the incredible ideas, sounds and skills found in Sydney and the Asia-Pacific – and the best part is that with our range of event formats and Session Select platform, anyone can be involved.”
