Animated series South Park has taken home its fifth Emmy award and 'thanked' the man who inspired much of its content: Donald Trump.

At the 78th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Sunday night, the Comedy Central show won Outstanding Animated Program.

Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone acknowledged thatSouth Park hasn’t won the award since 2013, and so of course posted a graphic on Instagram.

The official South Park account posted a picture of the president with his pants down, and victoriously holding an Emmy - despite never having won one.

So the South Park creators knew what they were doing with their Emmy's victory post.

It's especially important to note that that show won for its season that centered the president, focusing on a caricature of Trump entangled in an abusive relationship with Satan.
