• Return to status quo as Mix wins, but Nova still breakfast champ

The station had the biggest share dip in survey one, but that has all returned and then some in survey two. 95.4 was well off the radar in survey one and it has made a staggering comeback. Breakfast with Clairsy, Matt and Kymba has recovered from 8.7% to 10.6%. So bad was that survey one result, that even the new figure is still its second lowest result in over four years. The results across the day would have been a relief – morning +2.6, afternoon +3.3 and drive +2.9. The station is now #1 morning and afternoon and #2 drive. 95.4 lifted 5.3 to 16.1% 55-64 where it ranks #1 and it closed the gap big time behind 96FM 40-54. SCA’s Dave Cameron’s forecast here last survey that the station would bounce back was spot on.

Nathan, Nat & Shaun remain Perth’s #1 breakfast, but their share has slipped from 15.5% to 13.5%. Morning, afternoon and drive were all down over 2.0, but drive with Kate, Tim and Marty remains #1. Nova has slipped from #1 to #2 18-24 and 25-39 after claiming those demos last survey.

The growth curve has flattened a little starting with breakfast where Botica’s Bunch has dipped from 13.3% to 10.9%. That is still better than any 96FM breakfast share between 2016 and 2019. Despite a drop of 4.4 to 20.8% 40-54, 96FM is still #1 in that demo.

Breakfast with Xavier, Juelz and Pete was up 0.5 to 10.1%. The good news continued into other dayparts with morning up 1.4 and afternoon up 1.6. The station has replaced Nova as #1 18-24 with a Hit share of 23.0% (+4.2).

A lift of 1.0 for Steve and Baz has put them back on the map after just 8.0% in survey one. Morning and evening also reported good growth. Share of 65+ was up 2.6 to 15.2%.

The cume growth in survey one has been completely wiped off. Breakfast dipped 0.3 to 3.9% while drive and evening have the best shares with 4.5% and 4.6%. The station has slipped from #1 55-64 to #2 behind Mix 94.5.
