iHeartRadio reunites Osher Günsberg and Yumi Stynes as hosts of its new iHeartTrivia

Osher Günsberg and Yumi Stynes reunite

Brett “Nozz” Nossiter: “With their boundless musical expertise, they’re the perfect hosts for a 24/7 music trivia station”

Osher Günsberg and Yumi Stynes are reuniting to co-host iHeartTrivia, a brand-new 24/7 music trivia station launching on ARN’s iHeartRadio.

The world’s first 24/7 music trivia station, iHeartTrivia, puts listeners’ music knowledge to the test, covering everything from the 80s to now with an entertaining game the entire family can play.

Alongside the trivia, the station serves as a platform for Günsberg and Stynes to share their extensive knowledge of the music industry, interview artists, reminisce about their Channel [V] days, and unveil previously untold backstage stories.

Günsberg and Stynes first rose to fame as VJs on the legendary music platform, Channel [V], where they introduced the hottest tracks and interviewed the artists of the era. They both went on to carve out hugely successful careers in the entertainment industry, but now, 23 years since they first worked together, the pair have reunited on iHeartTrivia.

Stynes said: “I am so excited to be reuniting in a work capacity with my friend Osher Günsberg on iHeartTrivia. We have remained friends in the years since Channel [V] and have craved the chance to get together behind a mic to share stories, make each other laugh/groan, and flex that old chemistry that people still stop me on the street to talk about. YES, there is a vibe! And YES, we plan to use it, shamelessly!”

Günsberg added: “Yumi Stynes is a national treasure. A life-long music fan, whip-smart, savagely funny and one of the hardest working people you’re ever going to meet.

“I wanted to do this project because at its heart it’s two mates who love music, hanging out and vibing with each other on some of the greatest songs ever recorded. You can’t help but hear the delight in our voices. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”

Brett “Nozz” Nossiter, iHeartRadio content director, said: “The band are back together! I’m thrilled to be working again with Osher and Yumi on this pioneering project, iHeartTrivia. With their boundless musical expertise, they’re the perfect hosts for a 24/7 music trivia station.

“Sharing all their amazing stories with artists backstage and testing listeners’ music knowledge. Their chemistry is amazing, and so is their competitiveness. It’s gonna make for a fun ride as they test each other!”

Günsberg has been a familiar face on our screens for over two decades. After his early days on Channel [V], he captured the nation’s heart as the host of Australian Idol which he hosted for seven seasons in the early 2000s. He is currently the host of ‘The Bachelor’ franchise and ‘The Masked Singer’ on TEN and has just been nominated for the prestigious TV WEEK Gold Logie Award. Osher is also a bestselling author, podcaster, and mental health advocate.

Stynes is one of Australia’s most respected interviewers and broadcasters. She also began her media career at Channel [V] before moving on to TEN’s morning show, The Circle. She has previously hosted a number of radio shows on ARN, while also establishing herself as an author, co-writing the acclaimed and ground-breaking “Welcome to” series.
Stynes continues to work on her SBS interview showcase series ‘SEEN’, the ABC podcast ‘Ladies, We Need to Talk,’ and the hugely popular iHeart podcast ‘5 Minute Food Fix’, which spawned a brand-new cookbook released last week.
