The indecent assault and sexual touching trial of radio veteran Alan Jones continues this week.

The court heard from a Jones employee that he “confided in friends that the former broadcaster was a grub who had touched him inappropriately,” the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Known as Complainant C, the second accuser to give evidence said he spoke to radio guru Ray Hadley, and journalist Peter FitzSimons, after the incidents.

Complainant C told the court: “I said, ‘You know we joke a bit about it, but you know some of the stuff [Jones] did to me was quite f---ed up."

The accuser explained that he shared the alleged assaults to then-2GB host Hadley when they learned that FitzSimons was doing a story on similar allegations against Jones.

Regarding their conversation with FitzSimons, the court was told, “The purpose of my conversation with Peter was to just let him know it’s true … [or] at the very least it happened to me."

Complainant C added in their testimony, “I said, ‘He’s a f---ing grub, he used to grab me on my c---, used to kiss me in the lift’."

They also shared that they cried when he told Hadley the details.

“Ray just listened. I just broke down sobbing. I said, ‘He’s a f--ing c---’.”

“It was the first time I’d ever broken down talking about it, and Ray just listened,” they said.

“He offered to go with me to the police and I said, ‘No, I don’t want to do anything like that’.”

Complainant C testified that Hadley agreed not to tell anyone and suggested he speak to a psychologist.

Alan Jones trial continues

Jones was for decades one of Australia's most successful and popular radio identities.

His trial on to answer allegations from six complainants is expected to run for four months, and hear from 76 witnesses.

The complainants claim they were allegedly indecently assaulted by the now 85-year-old between 2003 and 2020.

Jones is facing 22 charges, which include 20 indecent assault and two sexual touching charges.
