Exciting news for Aussie hoopers.
The National Basketball Association will bring NBA House to Australia for the first time, with the immersive fan event set to run across four days in Melbourne during the 2026 playoffs.
The event will be held at The Timber Yard from 14 to 17 May, offering more than 6,000 square metres of basketball-themed experiences aimed at fans of all ages.
Operated by Seeker Agency, the Australian edition will include live playoff viewing parties, basketball challenges, appearances by local celebrities and influencers, and meet-and-greets with NBA legends and team entertainers.
Additional names to be announced closer to the event.
Fans attending NBA House Australia will also be able to play NBA 2K26 in a dedicated gaming zone, view the Larry O’Brien Trophy, and access a pop-up retail store featuring exclusive merchandise.
The four-day event will also include music, DJs, food and beverage offerings, alongside partner activations and giveaways.
Rajah Chaudhry, head of strategy for NBA Asia, said the event arrives as basketball interest continues to build in Australia.
“Bringing NBA House to Australia will energise our fanbase at a time where the momentum around basketball has never been greater,” said Chaudhry.
“NBA House has delighted fans all over the world, and we look forward to what will be a multi-day celebration of basketball and the NBA for fans in Melbourne as we approach the pinnacle of the season.”
A format already tested globally
NBA House has previously been staged in Brazil, Canada, China, France, India, Mexico, the US and the UK, with Australia now added to that list as the league continues to expand its international fan events.
Fans can register interest in tickets through the NBA’s official website, with further event details expected in the coming weeks.
In Australia, NBA games are currently available through Amazon Prime Video, ESPN and NBA League Pass.
