Mushroom Music extends publishing deal with Rob Amoruso
The renewed agreement continues the publisher's relationship with the Melbourne songwriter behind major Australian hits.

Mushroom Music has extended its publishing deal with Australian songwriter and producer Rob Amoruso.
The new agreement continues the publisher’s relationship with the Melbourne-based Amoruso, whose credits include work with Imagine Dragons, G Flip, Baker Boy, The Rubens, Mia Wray, Budjerah, Thelma Plum, KIAN, Briggs, Slowly Slowly, Haiku Hands, Emma Donovan, Mitch Tambo, The Moving Stills, Jean Deaux and Pardyalone.
Amoruso has contributed to multiple ARIA No.1 releases, won five ARIA Awards and received the Music Producers & Engineers’ Guild (MPEG) Writer/Producer of the Year Award.
Mushroom Music continues Amoruso partnership
Mushroom Music senior director A&R and creative Erol Yurdagul said the publisher had worked with Amoruso since his early career with Melbourne band Jakubi.
“It’s been a joy to be a part of Rob’s growth as a writer and producer from his early days with Jakubi to now working with some of the top artists both in Australia and globally.
“One thing that has been clear from the start is Rob’s commitment to artist development and his genuine passion and care for artists and their craft. Rob is one of the kindest and most talented people you would hope to meet. A great combination that will serve him well into this next stage of his career.”

Amoruso said the renewed agreement would support his work in Australia and internationally.
“I am incredibly thankful for every opportunity. If I’m being honest - I’m less interested in the music industry, and more focused on the people industry - I do everything I can to build people up and add value to them … everything else is noise! Mushroom Music has an incredible legacy of championing songwriters, and I’m excited to continue my partnership with a team that shares my vision for building meaningful, long-term creative careers both in Australia and internationally.”
Australian and international credits
Amoruso began his career with Jakubi, which went on to secure deals with Epic Records and Capitol Records in the US.
During his time in the US, he collaborated with Macy Gray and Kelly Rowland and received mentorship from producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Since returning to Australia, Amoruso has worked across pop, hip hop, indie and First Nations music.
His credits include Baker Boy’s ARIA Album of the Year-winning Gela, as well as recent collaborations with Mia Wray, The Rubens and Budjerah.
Amoruso is also the founder of Heart & Soul Music Group, which has joined forces with long-term collaborator Anna Leeworthy to expand its services across artist development, branding, marketing, A&R and distribution.
