Olivia Kruimel will oversee PR, internal, and external communications

Creative solutions company M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ has appointed Olivia Kruimel as PR & Communications Director.

Reporting to Amanda Quested, Head of Group Marketing & Communications, Kruimel will oversee PR, internal, and external communications across the group’s Australia and New Zealand operations. Quested took on the role of leading Group Marketing & Communications in late 2022 after four years of working as Managing Partner at the agency leading the CommBank business.

Prior to joining the group, Kruimel was Editor at media, marketing and advertising industry publication Mumbrella, and had just returned from maternity leave. This follows the departure of Mumbrella’s Andrew Banks, former Acting Managing Editor, Emma Shepherd former Acting Deputy Editor / Features Editor, and the return of Damian Francis after he departed for 12 months to Unmade.

Prior to Mumbrella, Kruimel was based in Singapore working as a senior marketing manager for Standard Chartered Bank. She has also worked in law as a communications and PR manager at a number of local and global law firms. During her media career, she has worked across a number of consumer and trade publications at Fairfax Media (now Nine Publishing), Thomson Reuters and Reed Business Information.

Commenting on the appointment, Quested said: “We are delighted to have Olivia join the M&C Saatchi Group to promote and share with the broader industry and business community our capabilities, fabulous people, and brilliant work.”

Kruimel added: “Having covered the media, marketing and advertising industries on two occasions, I’m looking forward to working with such a highly respected, innovative and creative company.”

Earlier this month, M&C Saatchi has announced the promotion of Jayne Brady to general manager – M&C Saatchi Melbourne.

Brady joined M&C Saatchi as part of the Melbourne leadership team in 2020, at the start of the pandemic. She has been instrumental in a number of new business wins for the agency, including Victorian Government, Origin Energy and WorkSafe and has also implemented a number of successful internal agency initiatives.
