For the inaugural Mediaweek Next of the Best Awards, Nomination entry fees will be free.

Mediaweek is excited to announce the award categories for the Next of the Best Awards, and to confirm that entries are now open. Candidates can now be nominated through this link.

For the inaugural Mediaweek Next of the Best Awards, nomination entry fees will be free.

The Mediaweek Next of the Best Awards will celebrate people under the age of 40 in the media industry that work in Sales, Advertising, PR, Ad Tech, Marketing, Media Buying/ Planning, Radio, Television, and Publishing. The awards ceremony will also name a Grand Prix Award winner at the end of the night, chosen from the winners of the first 17 awards. The Awards will also name the top 50 influencers in Australia.

The event will take place May 26, 2023, the first night of Vivid, at the Doltone House – Heritage Wharf at Jones Bay Wharf.

Key dates:

Entries open: 13th February 2023
Entries Close: 13th March 2023, this date is final and there will be no extensions provided. The system will automatically prevent entry submission after the deadline.
Shortlist announced late March
Awards presentation ceremony: 26 May 2023

Grand Prix Award

 

To be eligible for Next of the Best Awards, the nominee must be age 40 or under (born June 01, 1983) and work in the media industry, departments include; Sales, Advertising, PR, Ad Tech, Marketing, Media Buying/ Planning, Radio, Television, and Publishing

The awards will be selected by an industry panel of 13 experts making the Next of the Best Awards the most prestigious young talent awards in the media industry. These judges will be announced later in the week.

The applicants will be considered as both current and future leaders of tomorrow and judged on criteria that will include success, innovation, creativity, and reputation. 

Ranking Australian Influencers

The event will also reveal the Top 50 Influencers in Australia, using world-class data to rank the Influencers who cut through the most in the past 12 months. Having the Influencers and Australia’s top talent under 40 will make for an epic networking opportunity.

The Mediaweek Next of The Best Awards will take place during the Vivid Festival and be held harbourside at Doltone House, offering fantastic views of one of Sydney’s most exciting events.

As with the Mediaweek 100, Mediaweek will partner with the industry-leading event company,Usual Suspects.
