Josh Simons and Tim Burrowes to reunite for simulcast podcast on the future of Australian publishing
The podcast will mark their first conversation since their online clash, and their first podcast together in almost two years.

Mediaweek and Mumbrella will simulcast a special podcast featuring Josh Simons and Tim Burrowes, discussing the future of publishing in Australia.
The podcast will mark the first time Simons and Burrowes have recorded together in almost exactly two years.
Produced by the team at Abe’s Audio and recorded in Sydney, the episode will bring the pair back behind the microphones to examine how the publishing landscape has shifted and what comes next for the industry.
Two years on
Simons and Burrowes will examine how Australia’s publishing landscape has changed over the past two years, and where it may be heading next.
The discussion will cover the commercial models underpinning the sector, shifting audience behaviour and the challenge of building sustainable media businesses in an increasingly fragmented market.
They will also tackle trust, the changing relationship between publishers and their audiences, and what the industry may need to do differently as established business models come under pressure.
The special episode will be simulcast by Mediaweek and Mumbrella on 17 September, with both publications carrying the discussion.
