Linktree welcomes three new leaders to its executive suite

“I’m grateful that we found three heavyweights in their fields to help me lead Linktree into our next chapter of growth”

Linktree has announced the appointment of three new leaders to its executive suite.

Joining Linktree’s executive suite is Farnaz Azmoodeh as chief technology officer; Sam Rogoway as the company’s first chief product officer; and Monica Austin as chief marketing officer.

All three will report directly to Alex Zaccaria, co-founder and CEO of Linktree.

Zaccaria said of the new appointments to the team: “Linktree is a product-led organisation, and has been since day one, focused on growing and innovating our offerings to meet the needs of the millions of linkers who rely on Linktree every single day.

“This is why when we started our search for seasoned executives to lead our product, engineering and marketing organisations, we took our time to meet with a myriad of talented and experienced leaders.

“What got us here, won’t necessarily get us to where we are going and I’m grateful that we found three heavyweights in their fields to help me lead Linktree into our next chapter of growth.”

Farnaz brings more than two decades of experience in leadership positions at some of the world’s biggest and most impactful technology companies. Her most recent role was at Snap, Inc. where she served as VP of engineering.

Before Snap, Farnaz spent 10 years at Google working in various roles in the search giant’s advertising teams and held integral roles revamping the way brand advertisers use metrics to manage digital advertising campaigns.

Rogoway has spent the past 15 years at the intersection of content and technology with deep roots in consumer tech and the creator economy.

Rogoway was recently the chief product and content officer at Headspace, where he was responsible for Headspace products and content on all platforms and devices. He also founded and successfully sold multiple technology companies.

Austin joins Linktree from Calm, the top mindfulness app in the world, where she served as global head of marketing and communications for the last two years.

While at Calm, she led all marketing efforts during a period of meteoric growth, in which the app saw downloads double during the early days of the pandemic. She also reimagined Calm’s content promotion and brand, as well as overseeing all social, editorial, communications and publicity for the app.

Before Calm, Austin spent four years leading global creative marketing for original series at Netflix. She also drove the development and execution of creative marketing campaigns for 100+ original titles per year. Austin also developed and launched Netflix’s editorial strategy.

Austin also led strategic entertainment partnerships at Meta, bringing some of the most notable entertainment players to the platform, supporting Instagram, Oculus and Messenger’s new product launches.

Zaccaria said of his new team: “I know Farnaz, Sam, and Monica will each have a massive impact on our growth, product, Linkers, and how we realize the Linktree Vision: to empower anyone to curate and grow their digital universe. I’m honoured to be able to work with and learn from them and I can’t wait to get stuck in!”
