Network Ten has unveiled the next chapter of Australian Survivor, but this time with a theme twist of Redemption.
Premiering on February 10, the new season will see 24 castaways compete across 45 days for the title of Sole Survivor and a $500,000 prize.
This year’s theme centres on second chances, with players entering the game driven by personal motivations, unfinished business, or reputations they want to redefine.
David Genat returns as host
The season will be hosted by David Genat, a two-time Australian Survivor: All Stars contestant and winner.
Network Ten says the new instalment will push players to their limits, both physically and mentally, as they battle harsh conditions, strategic gameplay and each other.
Returning players and reality crossovers
Several familiar faces will return to the franchise, including Brooke Jowett, Harry Hills, Simon Mee and Mark Warnock.
They will be joined by reality TV alumni from other formats, including Big Brother’s Johnson Ashak and The Traitors New Zealand contestant Cat Hooker.
A diverse cast of newcomers
The wider cast spans a broad mix of backgrounds, including professional athletes, creatives and everyday Australians.
Among them are a pro wrestler, MMA fighter, AFL player, CEO, chef, pastor, country music singer, model, vet nurse, NDIS support worker and university students.
Network Ten says the Redemption theme is designed to raise the emotional stakes, with contestants not only competing for the win, but also for the chance to reshape how they are seen.
