Tensions ran high on Seven’s Farmer Wants A Wife as Farmer Thomas made an unexpected return to the Country Ball following a dramatic exit.
The episode opened with Farmer Thomas reappearing after 24 hours of silence following an explosive argument with Clarette.
His sudden departure from the farm had left Clarette, Rachael, Jess and Laura reeling, but his arrival at the ball was greeted with visible relief from the group.
Thomas apologised to all four women, but it was Clarette he pulled aside for a more intimate conversation. Addressing the cause of the conflict, his lingering communication with former contestant Claire, Thomas reaffirmed that chapter was closed.
“I’m really sorry about how it all ended, and I shouldn’t be storming out,” said Thomas, trying to reassure Clarette.
“I mean it, I swear. The contact’s deleted. No contact at all,” he said.
Clarette accepted his apology, telling Thomas she had been blindsided by his ongoing messages with Claire. The two shared a kiss, seemingly putting the issue behind them.
Elsewhere, Jess approached Thomas with a more sobering conversation. Expressing that she hadn’t had enough time to build a connection, Jess told Thomas she wouldn’t continue competing for his attention.
I’m not going to keep staying around vying for attention when it is elsewhere,” she said, signalling her decision to exit the show.
Meanwhile, Chloe shifted gears with Farmer Corey. Pulling him away from the group, she reignited their chemistry with a kiss, a move that clearly influenced his later decision.
At the end of the evening, host Natalie Gruzlewski asked the farmers to select their next one-on-one dates. Thomas chose to deepen his connection with Clarette, Jack invited Hayley to explore their compatibility, and Corey, unsurprisingly, picked Chloe.
