Droga5 ANZ adds former M+C Saatchi creative chief Emma Robbins

Most recently, Robbins served as the Group Chief Creative Officer at rival M+C Saatchi Group ANZ.

Droga5 ANZ has appointed Emma Robbins as Executive Creative Director in Melbourne. Robbins will join the agency’s creative leadership team in July 2026, moving from M&C Saatchi.

The appointment strengthens Droga5 ANZ’s Melbourne operation and Accenture Song’s broader marketing offering across the region.

Robbins’ past experiences

Robbins brings more than 30 years of experience working across healthcare, automotive, government, finance and sport.

Most recently, Robbins served as the Group Chief Creative Officer at M+C Saatchi Group ANZ. She has worked with the rival agency (M+Saatchi) for almost 8 years.

Her work has been recognised at global shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show and the Effie Awards.

Robbins is also a mentor through The Aunties Program, a lecturer at AWARD School, and a board director at the Australian research charity Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision.

Droga5 ANZ on the appointment

Barbara Humphries, Droga5 ANZ Co-Chief Creative Officer, said Robbins will play an important role in shaping the agency’s Melbourne presence.

“Melbourne is an incredibly important market for us – creatively, culturally and commercially,” Humphries said.

“Emma is exactly the kind of leader we want helping shape what comes next: someone with exceptional creative standards, strong leadership instincts and a deep belief in the power of creativity to drive impact.”

Damon Stapleton, Droga5 ANZ Co-Chief Creative Officer, said Robbins’ appointment strengthens the agency’s borderless creative model.

“What makes Droga5 different is our borderless approach to creativity,” Stapleton said.

“We bring the best people to our clients’ problems, regardless of where they sit, connecting talent across markets in service of our clients’ businesses.

Robbins on joining Droga5

Robbins said she was excited by Droga5’s position at the intersection of creativity, technology, data and experience.

“At Droga5, creativity sits right at the intersection of tech, data, and experience, like the centre point where all the different forces that make great work actually converge,” Robbins said.

“It’s that passion for culturally sharp, relevant and super effective work that I’m excited to help build with the team.”

M+C Saatchi speaks on the appointment

“After eight remarkable years, Emma leaves an incredible legacy at M+C Saatchi AUNZ. We’ll miss her wit, style, and most of all her compassion. We’re hugely grateful for everything Emma has given and wish her nothing but continued success in what comes next,” said Dani Bassil, Chief Executive Officer, M+C Saatchi AUNZ.

“Jeremy Hogg, our ECD, will lead our creative team and will work with myself and the leadership team on continuing to build our creative vision for the future. We are in excellent hands.”
