Blue Ant Rights builds global sales leadership across APAC and the Americas

The appointments follow reverse takeover of Boat Rocker Media in 2025 and listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Blue Ant Rights, the distribution arm of Blue Ant Studios, has announced a series of senior promotions and a new appointment across its Americas and Asia-Pacific sales teams, as the company continues to scale its global distribution business.

The leadership changes come amid strong growth momentum for the company, driven by an expanding content portfolio, broader genre mix and increasing demand for premium programming across platforms and territories worldwide.

“As we head into a new phase of growth for the company, these key executive appointments allow us to maximise our dedicated regional sales support in APAC and North America, critical to scaling our content portfolio and growing our genre offering,” said Mark Bishop, co-president of Blue Ant Studios.

“We’ve built a leadership team with deep market expertise and strong global relationships with a clear goal to further expand Blue Ant Rights and unlock new opportunities for our premium content worldwide.”

Strengthening leadership in the Americas

In the Americas, Bryan Gabourie has been promoted to EVP, content monetisation and head of Americas.

In the expanded role, he will lead a larger regional sales organisation, with responsibility for maximising the commercial value of Blue Ant’s growing content catalogue across platforms, partners and territories.

Alongside overseeing sales, Gabourie will drive cross-functional monetisation initiatives, including digital platform growth and high-volume VOD strategies, and contribute to broader portfolio and commercial decision-making.

The move reflects Blue Ant Rights’ integrated approach to content monetisation as the business continues to scale.

Nick Solowski has also been promoted, stepping into the role of VP, international sales (US & Canada). His remit now extends beyond Canadian partnerships to include licensing and sales across the US market.

Solowski will work closely with the wider Americas leadership team to deepen existing relationships, identify new opportunities and support growth across genres, including kids and family, animation and scripted content.

Expanding APAC sales capabilities

In Asia-Pacific, Blue Ant Rights has appointed Bruno Liporoni as VP, international sales (ANZ & Japan).

Reporting to Jon Penn, managing director, APAC, Liporoni will oversee sales across Australia, New Zealand and Japan, with a primary focus on the ANZ market.

Liporoni brings more than two decades of experience in television and content distribution, including ten years at BBC Studios Australia, where he managed major partnerships with broadcasters, streamers and digital platforms.

His experience spans scripted, unscripted and children’s programming, aligning with Blue Ant Rights’ genre expansion and platform diversification.

In addition, Jason Soh, VP, distribution (Asia), has expanded his responsibilities to include oversight of content sales in China and Korea, in addition to his existing markets.

Backed by broader corporate momentum

The leadership appointments follow a period of significant corporate activity for Blue Ant Media. Since completing its reverse takeover of Boat Rocker Media in 2025 and listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the company has acquired US-based streamer MagellanTV and announced a proposed acquisition of Thunderbird Entertainment Group Ltd.

Together, the moves are expected to further strengthen Blue Ant’s scale, capabilities and global distribution footprint.
