ARN has announced the appointment of Fayad Tohme in the newly created role of chief digital and technology officer, as the network continues to strengthen its investment in the future of digital audio and technology.

Tohme will report to ARN chief executive officer Ciaran Davis, the role sits within ARN’s executive leadership team and is part of an ambitious roadmap and future strategy designed to further solidify the company’s position as the best audio business within the country.

Tohme will be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of digital, data, technology, and product innovation for ARN.

Tohme joins the ARN team from Nova Entertainment, where he was chief digital officer responsible for developing Nova’s digital strategy and commercial growth. Prior to Nova, he has held a range of digital leadership positions across consulting, strategy, and transformation.

Davis said of the appointment: “We’re building the best broadcast radio and digital audio business in the country and are really excited about the roadmap we are developing. Fayad brings with him a wealth of knowledge and skills, and his appointment is a key part of ARN’s future to drive growth across existing and new digital platforms.”

Alongside the appointment of Fayad, ARN has also created a new Digital & Technology Leadership Team, which comprises of Tracey Gillan (head of commercial operations), Corey Layton (head of digital audio), Rich Howells (head of digital commercial), Matt Ollerenshaw (head of broadcast and workplace technology) and a soon-to-be appointed head of business solutions.

Tohme has a Bachelor of Robotic Engineering from the University of Sydney, a Master of Management from UTS and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
